The Media and Law Studies Association (MLSA), with support from ARTICLE 19, successfully completed a Capacity Building Workshop for Civil Society Organizations. The event, held at the Demora Hotel in Eskişehir, saw participation from 20 individuals representing 16 different civil society organizations. The workshop took place over two days, from Sept. 1 to Sept. 2.
The workshop's first day was led by Kerem Dikmen, Legal Coordinator at Kaos GL, focusing on legal matters crucial for the functioning and regulation of associations. The opening session delved into the Associations Legislation, covering establishment procedures, notifications before and after activities, declarations, necessary record-keeping, and steps to take in case of damage or loss of these records.
Following an interactive session enriched by participant contributions and questions, the workshop proceeded to its second session. This session, titled "Features of the Inspection Process Following Law No. 7262 and Inspection from the Perspective of an Association Inspector," addressed the preparatory, during, and post-inspection processes, emphasizing points of caution.
Dikmen, fostering an engaging environment throughout, concluded the sessions by answering participants' questions, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the legal landscape affecting civil society organizations.
