The court decided to file an international rogatory request in order to receive artist Ferhat Tunç’s defense statement from his address in Germany, Tunç stands trial for “insulting the president” charges
İstanbul - Fifth hearing of the trial where artist Ferhat Tunç faces “insulting the president” charges for ten tweets he had posted in 2016 is being held at Büyükçekmece 14th Criminal Court of the First Instance today.
Tunç did not attend the hearing because he lives abroad. His lawyer Damla Koç was present in the courtroom. Koç stated that her client. will temporarily reside in Germany and presented Tunç’s current address.
The court decided to file an international rogatory request in order to receive a defense statement from Tunç in Germany and adjourned the trial until 18 September.
