The 14th hearing of the case filed against 38 individuals, including former Editors-in-Chief of the Kurdish-language daily Azadiya Welat, Tayip Temel and Pero Dündar, on charges of “membership in an organization,” was held before the Diyarbakır 2nd High Criminal Court. At the hearing, which began with the establishment of identity, the defendants Sabahattin Dinç and Abdullah Bozkoyu were present, along with the defendants’ attorneys.

During the hearing, Abdullah Bozkoyu, who took the floor, stated that his assets had been seized for two years within the scope of the proceedings and requested the lifting of this measure due to the hardship he had suffered.

The attorneys who took the floor requested that the deficiencies in the case file be remedied and that the ongoing travel ban imposed on the defendants be lifted.

After the defense submissions, the panel of judges took a short recess and subsequently ruled that the deficiencies be remedied and reiterated the arrest warrants issued against the individuals named in the case file. The panel also accepted the request to lift the seizure of assets and the judicial control measures imposed on the defendants who were present at the hearing. Following these rulings, the panel adjourned the hearing to 14 July 2026.
