Diyarbakır — The 17th hearing of the ongoing case against Ramazan Ölçen, the proprietor of the now-closed Azadiya Welat newspaper, on charges of “membership in an organization,” was held before the Diyarbakır 11th High Criminal Court.
The hearing, at which the panel of judges was present, was brief due to the request to remedy procedural deficiencies. As no defense statements were heard, the hearing was adjourned to 22 April 2026.
