Metin Yoksu, a journalist held in Batman Beşiri Type-T Closed Prison in southeastern Turkey, has sent a message through his lawyer, Mesut Aydın, following their meeting earlier today.
In his message, Yoksu expressed gratitude to pro-Kurdish Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) lawmakers, the Batman Bar Association, press and media organizations, civil society groups, fellow journalists, news sources, readers, and everyone who has shown support via social media.
Yoksu said his morale remains high and emphasized his belief that the challenges he is facing can be overcome through solidarity. He added that he intends to continue producing news reports from prison just as he did while free.
