In their 952nd week of protest, the group known as Saturday Mothers/People, who advocate for justice for disappeared persons, were once again arrested at Galatasaray Square. The group, which includes human rights activists and Eren Keskin, the president of the Human Rights Association (İHD), walked to the square with carnations, seeking answers about their relatives who vanished while in custody. Despite a ruling from the Constitutional Court (AYM), the Saturday Mothers/People and the human rights activists were impeded and arrested during their demonstration.
The arrests were reported on the Saturday Mothers' social media account. The post stated, "After our arrests, the legislators who came to support us were surrounded, assaulted, and the journalists who were observing our gathering were also assaulted."
