The second hearing of the case in which journalist Hakkı Boltan and publishing house employee Delil Zengeralp are being tried on the charge of “making propaganda for an organization” due to certain books displayed at the Aram Publishing House stand at the Diyarbakır Book Fair was held.
Lawyer Resul Temur, the defendants’ lawyer, attended the hearing held at Diyarbakır 4th High Criminal Court. Boltan and Zengeralp are being tried on the grounds that they displayed books by Hatip Dicle and Mahmut at the fair stand.
At the hearing, which began with identity verification, lawyer Resul Temur, who took the floor, stated that he would make his defense after the opinion of the prosecution. Upon this, the prosecution requested time from the court to prepare the main opinion.
The panel of judges accepted the request for time to prepare the opinion and postponed the hearing to April 14 at 09:10 a.m.
