Confidentiality order placed on the case of journalists detained in Diyarbakır

In Diyarbakır, early morning house raids resulted in the detention of eight individuals, including journalists Derya Us and Nurcan Yalçın. The investigation, led by the Diyarbakır Public Prosecutor's Office, is subject to a confidentiality order, restricting the disclosure of details regarding the accusations against the detainees.

Alongside Us and Yalçın, the individuals detained include Sema Koç, Fatma Opçin, Zuhal Ayaz, Muhammed Özer, Songül İpek, and another person identified only by the first name Vesile. These detainees, including the two journalists, have met with their lawyers at the Diyarbakır Police Department’s Anti-Terrorism Branch, but the specific charges they face have not been disclosed due to the confidentiality order.
