MLSA organizes 'Digital Security Workshop for Journalists'

MLSA to hold digital security workshop for journalists on August 27

The Media and Law Studies Association (MLSA) is organizing a "Digital Security Workshop for Journalists" on Tuesday, August 27, at 12:00 PM at TGS Academy. The workshop, facilitated by Mehmet Şafak Sarı, will provide practical advice for journalists facing digital risks.

The workshop will cover essential topics such as internet security, secure information and document sharing, communication security, personal data protection, and social media safety. It is particularly aimed at young journalists, offering digital security measures they can apply in their work.

As journalism in Turkey increasingly relies on digital tools and platforms, these resources bring significant security risks. Journalists are often exposed to threats such as cyberattacks, data breaches, surveillance, and targeted disinformation. Digital security measures are crucial for journalists to protect their work, safeguard their sources, and ensure the accurate dissemination of information to the public. The workshop aims to teach simple yet effective methods to help journalists secure their work in this challenging environment.
