October 30, Wednesday
09:30 AM - The retrial of photojournalist Çağdaş Erdoğan, represented by MLSA, on charges of “terrorist propaganda” and “membership in a terrorist organization” will take place at the Bursa 1st High Criminal Court.
10:00 AM - The second hearing of the case against journalist Buse Söğütlü and three women, who were detained while covering the 21st Feminist Night March on International Women's Day last year in Taksim, will be held at the Istanbul 10th Criminal Court of First Instance. The indictment accuses the women of “resisting to prevent duty” and “participating in an unlawful meeting and demonstration without dispersing despite warnings.” Buse Söğütlü and one other woman are also charged with “insult.” Among those filing complaints is Hanifi Zengin, who was the Head of the Istanbul Security Branch at the time.

09:50 AM - The fourth hearing of the case against journalists Pınar Gayıp, Eylem Nazlıer, Yadigâr Aygün, Serpil Ünal, Esra Soybir, and Zeynep Kuray (represented by MLSA), who were detained while attempting to make a press statement in Kadıköy, will be held at the Istanbul Anatolian 22nd Criminal Court of First Instance. They are charged with “participating in an unlawful meeting and demonstration without dispersing despite warnings.”
10:40 AM - The consecutive hearings of two separate cases against writer Gökhan Yavuzel, represented by MLSA, for “insulting the president” based on social media posts, will be held at the Şanlıurfa 4th Criminal Court of First Instance.

09:14 AM - The fourth hearing of the case against journalist Perihan Kaya, who is being tried on charges of “membership in a terrorist organization,” will take place at the Diyarbakır 10th High Criminal Court.
